Getting the most from your Oracle UPK

During many Oracle integration or upgrade projects, system integrators purchase a copy of UPK (User Productivity Kit), Oracle's E-Learning tool. The software is generally used to manage the learning process of end users, especially when combined with Oracle Learning Management (OLM). What most organisations do not realise is that UPK is usually purchased with a perpetual licence, allowing for continued use even after a project has long since ended.

For 2010, we are introducing a range of bespoke or standard training courses on AIX and Red Hat Linux technologies across the most popular enterprise-level platforms. iTrain’s course tutors have been actively involved in teaching these (and closely related) technologies for the last 29 years, and bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the learning experience.

The Sun sets into Oracle

On April 20, 2009, Oracle announced it had entered into an agreement to acquire Sun Microsystems (Sun). After an in-depth investigation of the deal, the proposed transaction won unconditional European Union regulatory approval last week solidifying the $7 billion acquisition.
